The River Gaia is a typical Mediterranean river in the Tarragona Province, which
flows from Montfred to the coast. Castles in ruins dating back to the tenth
century line this river. Our route on horseback begins in Rodonya, crosses
rivers and mountains to Vilardida, Vilarodona, Selmella, Querol, Montagut, Selma,
L’Alba Vell, El Montmell and once again to Rodonya.
Accommodation is in rural farmhouses and meals consist of the very best local
food and wine.
